Quality is the responsibility of all. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our preferred suppliers and encourage all members of our production team to be responsible for the quality of our final assembly.
Icon Electronics operates the well-known industry standard IPC-A-610 Class II (III on request), and ensures all assembled products meet this criteria. All our production staff undergo continual self-assessment and formal IPC training, both externally and in house.
Our methods for manufacture meet with those detailed within IPC J-STD 001, whilst handling, storage and preservation of materials meet the requirements of both BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 for Electrostatic Sensitive Devices and J-STD-033, J-STD-020 for Moisture Sensitive Materials.
Our conformal coating activities meet with Mil-I-46058C and guidance from IPC-HDBK-830 as well as adhering to commercial and military specifications in PCB Assembly rework and repair standards IPC 7721/7711. Each of our CeMs also hold certification for ISO9001:2015.
Icon North also have Baseefa accreditation which allows them to assemble fully built up units for Intrinsically safe and Atex products.
Across our Group companies we also utilise a quality policy, manual and procedures to specify the systems and processes to successfully operate, assuring our commitment and competence to our customers. As such, our Quality Management System (QMS) and its key performance indicators are regularly reviewed as part of our Management Review Process, ensuring continual improvement of the effectiveness of the QMS.
